1,032 Women Rebuild Their Lives from Bra Donations in Kansas City during 2024

Making life a little brighter for Kansas City metro area women in need, Circadian Intimates surpassed its thousandth bra donation of 2024 in December.

Gently used bras are donated year-round by customers at Circadian Intimates, a local, woman-owned small business in Prairie Village, Kansas. These bra donations are a key source of supplies for the Kansas City Chapter of I Support the Girls, a national non-profit that won “Neighbor of the Year” on The Kelly Clarkson Show this month. In December of 2024, Circadian Intimates provided I Support the Girls with their last donation of the year, bringing their annual bra donation count to 1,032.

I support the Girls distributes not only bras, but menstrual hygiene products, and other essentials for women experiencing homelessness or distress at local shelters, transitional housing programs, and other support organizations across Kansas City.

“The generosity of our community continues to astound us. When we started our donation program, we never imagined the size of the impact we could have on our community. We will continue to offer this program throughout 2025 as we look for even more ways to give back to the women of Kansas City,” said Emily Elizabeth, Founder and CEO of Circadian Intimates.

The donations underscore the importance of collaboration between businesses and nonprofit organizations in addressing critical community needs. According to I Support the Girls, a lack of access to properly fitting bras and menstrual hygiene products often goes unaddressed, yet it plays a significant role in a woman’s sense of dignity and ability to engage fully in daily life.
